RULE is honored to host, on November 2nd, the International Symposium dedicated to the theme of Labor Law Between Industrialization and Digitalization, in Hall G1, from 8am. to 4.30pm.
The discussions, interpreted simultaneously in both French and Khmer languages, will focus on the following perspectives:
-the adaptation of Cambodian labor legal framework to digitalization and especially remote work (Mr. HOUN Sopheakneath, Assocate General Director, Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training; Mr. ANG Sengly, Director of the Department of Conflict Resolution, Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training;
-the sophistication of French labor law (Pr. Cécile NICOD, professor Université Lumière Lyon II);
-the impact of remote work on the privacy, health and security of employees (Ms. OEURN Sambo, Centre for Applied Research in Law, RULE; Dr. SOK Rithchak, Ministry of Environment);
-the new labor conflicts involving essential rights in the context of remote work (Pr. Sylvaine LAULOM, professor Université Lumière Lyon II);
-the manifold legal approaches to employees of the digital economy (Pr. Marie-Cécile ESCANDE-VARNIOL, professor Université Lumière Lyon II);
-the emerging regional and international labor norms pertaining to the digital economy and artificial intelligence (Pr. LIM Suy Hong, professor at RULE, Centre for Applied Research in Law; Mr. PHUN Sopheak, professor at RULE).
The International Symposium will be opened by H.E. Dr. LUY Channa, Rector, RULE, H.E. Dr. SAN Vathana, Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Mr. Thomas VALLEE, Attaché for academic and scientific cooperation, French Embassy, and Pr. Maurice GAILLARD, emeritus professor, Université Lumière Lyon II.
