Noury Kamel is finishing his PhD at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Institut de recherche en droit international et européen, IREDIES) and a lecturer in international law at Paris University. He received an LLB and an LLM in French public law from Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas, as well as an LLM in international economic law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Since 2020, he has taught public international law, international economic law, and French administrative law at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. His current research is focused on identifying and understanding soft law supervision mechanisms in international financial law.
He has published several peer reviewed articles on soft law mechanisms in international financial law.
Besides his academic activities, Noury Kamel worked as a project officer in 2019 for a Cambodian grassroots NGO called Khemara, based in Phnom Penh. He participated in developing educational, economic, and health programs to empower local communities and improve the living conditions of vulnerable people in several provinces such as Kampong Cham, Preah Vihear, Takeo, and Battambang.
