The Dual Degree Department in Economics and Management of RULE has officially signed a partnership with Dactuaries Co., Ltd (DAC)

The Dual Degree Department in Economics and Management is delighted to announce that in an effort to enhance academic and professional opportunities for Cambodian students, we have officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dactuaries Co., Ltd. The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration that aims to support skill development and provide career opportunities in the actuarial and insurance sectors.

About Dactuaries Co., Ltd.

Dactuaries Co., Ltd., established in 2013, is Taiwan’s largest actuarial consulting firm with an 80% market share in life insurance consulting. Operating in Taiwan, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Shanghai, DAC offers a wide range of services, including IFRS17 implementation, product development, risk management, and actuarial education. DAC has supported over 20 insurers in Taiwan and Cambodia and is the first actuarial firm approved by the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Key Objectives of the MoU

The primary purpose of the MoU is to establish the DAC Support Program, a corporate sponsorship scheme designed to offer scholarships to outstanding Cambodian students. These scholarships will enable students to pursue Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics, Management, and Actuarial Studies, and contribute to Cambodia’s growing insurance sector.

Components of the DAC Scholarship

  1. Financial Support for Dual Degree Programs: DAC commits to financially supporting students enrolled in the dual degree programs at RULE in Economics and Management. This support will cover tuition fees for students in their Dual Bachelor Degree program. This initiative aims to ensure that meritorious students can continue their education without financial barriers.
  2. Internship Opportunities: DAC will offer at least a three-month internship to DAC Scholars during their academic studies. These internships will provide students with hands-on industry experience, further enhancing their professional development.
  3. ASEAN Actuarial Talent Cultivation Program: Graduates from the dual degree program will have the opportunity to apply for full scholarships to pursue a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science at a leading university in Taiwan. Upon graduation, DAC will offer these students a two-year employment contract, providing a pathway to a successful career in actuarial consulting.

This MoU marks an important step in building a strong partnership between Dactuaries Co., Ltd. and the Dual Degree Department of Economics and Management of RULE. By providing financial support, internship opportunities, and professional development, this agreement will significantly contribute to the development of Cambodian talent in the actuarial and insurance sectors. DAC and RULE’s collaboration is expected to create long-term benefits for students and foster a thriving insurance industry in Cambodia.
