Mr. Dario Simone Palmiotti is an Assistant Counsel at the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC), primarily assisting legal staff in their everyday duties. He has significant experience at arbitral institutions such as internships at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) and the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC).

He is a Ph.D. Candidate in Arbitration & Dispute Resolution at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He holds an LL.M. from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in International Arbitration & Dispute Resolution (IADR) and a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Arbitration from the University of Lucerne (UNILU) and the University of Neuchâtel (UniNE) in cooperation with the Swiss Arbitration Academy (SAA). He further specialised in arbitration by attending several arbitration courses such as the widely recognised Arbitration Academy in Paris (2019) and the Hague Academy of International Law (2021). He graduated from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan in 2017 with the dissertation “The Annulment of the Arbitral Award”.

He is admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb) and several institutes of arbitrators in the Asia-Pacific region. He is listed in the Panel of Arbitrators of the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) and the Centre for International Alternative Dispute Resolution (CiADR). He is accredited as Tribunal Secretary at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC).

He is passionate about moot court. Since 2017, he has actively advised and coached different universities for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
