Mr. Dario Simone Palmiotti is a qualified lawyer specialising in International Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, and holds the position of Visiting Professor at the Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE).
He has significant experience working at arbitral institutions such as the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), and the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC). He participated in several tribunal secretary training programmes, including one organised by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and he is listed as a Tribunal Secretary at various arbitral institutions across the Asia-Pacific region (HKIAC, MCIA, SCIA&SCIAHK, THAC, TIAC).

He is admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb), and several other institutes of arbitrators (AMINZ, HKIArb, MIArb, PIArb). He is an IMI Qualified Mediator and is accredited by the standards of the leading mediation providers in Singapore and Hong Kong (SMC, SIMI, HKMAAL).

He has an international background with legal education in civil law and common law jurisdictions. He holds an LL.M. in International Arbitration & Dispute Resolution (IADR) from the National University of Singapore (NUS), a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Arbitration from the University of Lucerne (UNILU) and the University of Neuchâtel (UniNE) in cooperation with the Swiss Arbitration Academy (SAA), and a Laurea Magistrale in Giurisprudenza (J.D. equivalent) from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC). Furthermore, he has obtained several international arbitration certificates awarded by renowned academic and professional institutions worldwide. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Arbitration & Dispute Resolution at the University of Hong Kong (HKU).
He is passionate about moot court. Since 2017, he has actively advised and coached different universities. He also participates regularly as an arbitrator in competitions held each year in Vienna and Hong Kong.
