International Conference on AI and Intellectual Property Law at RULE

RULE Dual Degree Department was delighted to organize an international conference on the theme ”Artificial Intelligence and International Property Law” on October 6th, at 6pm. in Hall G, in collaboration with the Ambassade de France au Cambodge and the Cambodian Intellectual Property Association.

The conference featured two interventions from two French law professors:

Pr. Dr. Valérie Laure Benabou, Paris-Saclay University (UVSQ) discussed the theme “Regulating AI: Between Economic Efficiency, Technological Dominance, and the Democratic Imperative”. Pr. Dr. Dr. Stéphanie Le Cam, University Rennes 2 / League of Professional Authors discussed “AI and Impacts for Creative Professions”.

The debates were moderated by Mr. Ang Pich, Founder and Former President of the Intellectual Property Association of Cambodia, and Ms. Lim Ratha, part-time law lecturer at RULE. Mr. Pierre Vincent, Cultural Counsellor at the French Embassy and Head of the Institut Francais du Cambodge, gave the welcoming address.
