What have been your journey leading you to RULE?
My journey to academia has been driven by a desire to bridge the gap between corporate strategy and education.
Throughout my career—whether leading teams in Fintech or Telco—I have always been deeply involved in mentorship and training. Joining RULE as a lecturer was a natural evolution of this passion, allowing me to bring over a decade of high-level operational and strategic experience directly to students who are eager to make their mark on the industry.
Can you describe how the course(s) you teach are relevant in the current context?
We are living in an era where marketing is no longer just about creativity; it is about data, precision, and agility. The courses I teach focus heavily on Data-Driven Marketing, Customer Experience Essentials, and Digital Transformation.
In the current context, businesses in Cambodia and globally are rapidly digitizing. My curriculum is designed to equip students with the practical skills needed to navigate this shift—teaching them how to leverage Artificial Intelligence for efficiency, use data analytics to drive revenue growth, and manage customer experiences (CX) in a highly competitive digital landscape.
Can you tell us about your experience as a teacher for an international program in Cambodia?
Teaching within the Dual Master’s Degree program (Nantes University & RULE) is a unique and rewarding experience. It allows for a fusion of rigorous European academic standards with the dynamic, fast-paced reality of the Southeast Asian market.
I find that the students are incredibly diverse and ambitious. My role is often to contextualize global best practices for the local market, helping students understand how international frameworks apply to real-world challenges in Cambodia and the region. It is a privilege to facilitate this exchange of global knowledge and local application.
What do you like the most in teaching at RULE?
The most rewarding aspect is the opportunity to mentor the next generation of industry leaders. I enjoy the intellectual challenge of translating complex concepts—like AI integration or Fintech strategy—into actionable knowledge that students can use immediately in their careers. Seeing students have those “lightbulb moments” where they connect theory to their own professional experiences is incredibly satisfying.
Do you have any recommendations for future students and graduates?
My main recommendation is to remain adaptable and data-literate. The tools we use today, especially in AI and digital marketing, will evolve tomorrow. Don’t just learn the theory; master the tools and the data behind the decisions.
Secondly, treat your career like a business—be strategic, build your personal brand, and never stop networking. The relationships you build here at RULE will be your greatest asset in the future.
