Pascale Turquet is Professor of Economics at the University of Rennes 2. Her research focuses on social protection in Europe and Asia, especially financing methods, the role of private insurance and universal health cover. She has conducted many research works in the field and she has recently worked on the link between social protection and development for the AFD (Agence Française de Développement). She has taught and participated in numerous conferences in Asia, including Cambodia where she organised a Workshop RULE-Rennes University entitled International trade, social and environmental policies in Southeast Asia in 2022. From 2015 to 2017, she worked as a scientific attaché for the French Embassy to Cambodia and initiated a mobility programme between France and Cambodia under the Erasmus programme Call 2018.
